We are pleased to be among those brave accountants who took part in the first Accountants' Championship organized by iFinanses magazine on September 9, with Merhels being represented by two teams! The championship was a platform for testing social competencies that are necessary for great accountants - logical and strategic thinking, the ability to work with a large amount of data, noticing and evaluating important details, creativity, communication and other skills. We are happy to note that in the competition of 18 teams ‘MERHELS Gold Team’ won the 3rd place and the Ministry of Finance's sympathy award, and we are proud of ‘MERHELS Great Four’, which took part in this challenge!

Merhels provided transaction advisory support to BPM Mezzanine Fund II (“BPM”) within the context of BPM providing financing to Digital Mind AS (“Digital Mind”). Digital Mind is a market leader in its core field of operations - digitalization of business processes and has a diversified customer portfolio of local blue-chip companies and governmental authorities in Latvia, as well as in Estonia. Within the deal Merhels assisted BPM with financial and tax due diligence of Digital Mind.

Merhels provided transaction advisory support to INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund (“the Fund”) on their acquisition of 100% of shares of B2Y SIA (“B2Y”), a growing personal care products and cosmetics producer, headquartered in Latvia. B2Y distributes its products under Bio2You brand. It also produces under private label contracts. The Fund seeks to assemble a diversified portfolio of companies, that showcase high growth potential and the ability to compete on a truly global basis. The Fund is managed by one of Lithuania’s leading asset management companies INVL Asset Management, which is part of the Invalda INVL group. Within the deal Merhels assisted the Fund with financial and tax due diligence of B2Y.

Merhels provided transaction advisory support to Lexicon Interactive AB (“Lexicon Interactive”) on their acquisition of 80% of shares of Novitus SIA (“Novitus”). Lexicon Interactive is industry leader in digital learning in Sweden, whereas Novitus is the first specialized e-learning company in Latvia. Within the deal Merhels assisted Lexicon Interactive with financial and tax due diligence of Novitus.
